Carrington Junior school strike gold again in PE & School Sport
Carrington Junior School is celebrating the fantastic achievement of being awarded the Gold level School Games Mark for the third year in a row.
This prestigious national award recognises the school’s outstanding commitment to Physical Education and school sport, and highlights the wide range of opportunities provided for pupils to get active, have fun and develop a lifelong love of sport.
At Carrington Junior School, PE lessons are designed to be engaging, inclusive and inspiring, helping every child to build skills, confidence and team work. Beyond the classroom, the school offers an extensive and varied programme of sports clubs giving all pupils the chance to explore everything from Football and Netball to Athletics and Tennis.
Carrington’s sporting spirit doesn’t stop there as pupils are regularly given opportunities to represent the school in local events, festivals, tournaments and competitions, proudly showing off their team work and determination.
Carrington Junior School also ensures that physical activity and exercise is part of everyday life with a range of opportunities for pupils to stay active at break and lunch times through a number of fun games and activities led by school staff.
