Carrington Junior Awarded Gold Sports Award
With the hard work of Mr. Reid, Mr. Meakin, Mr. Shand and Mrs. Pilgrim, we have increased the number and variety of sports opportunities across the school over the last couple of years. We are delighted that all our hard work last year has been rewarded with a gold award from the School Games organisation.
The School Games Mark is a government-led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
Well done to all our teams and the children who have taken part in tournaments and sports experience days over the last two years, and have helped the school to reach this fantastic achievement!
