Year 5 Visit to Adams Park for Show Racism the Red Card
Tuesday 28th January, 2025
Our Year 5 pupils and teachers were so excited to be invited to Adam’s Park to take part in the Show Racism the Red Card event again this year.
The day was led by the Wycombe Wanderers Foundation, and the workshop is designed to engage children in activities and discussions aimed at empowering young minds to recognise and tackle racism.
The children and our staff also enjoyed a tour of the Stadium including the pitch, the tunnel, the changing rooms and the gym. We also took part in a number of disability awareness activities where we were blind folded and wearing ear defenders playing music, and we had to complete tasks without the use of our sight or hearing.
Some of the players came to meet us for a Q&A session and signed some autographs, and we also met Bodger the mascot from the football team.
It was a thought-provoking and fun experience for us all, and we would like to thank the Wycombe Wanderers Foundation for giving us this wonderful opportunity to learn in such an engaging way.
